If only you were a bit closer to me i'd be interested
The funniest part about you reading my signature is that by the time you read the whole thing from start to finish you only then realise there is nothing interesting in it.

i see you ordered a set! good work 8-) page 3 on my build has a close up of the end but it all depends where you wanna cut it off. If your not puttin toolboxes under the front of your tray you can leave the full length you will figure it out..

Cheers bud... There will be a set of staino boxes going on the rear end but I have already got steps on the side of my tray at the front and I reckon the extra length of the sidestep will look outta place. Plus I'd like it flush with the cab

Hey Hamo,

tough looking ride mate. How did you go fitting those wheels & tyres on with no lift? Was there much rubbing or trimming necessary?

I've got the same lux but a dual cab- but want to run BFG A/T's 265/75/16 black sunnies with a negative offset and no lift but have not been able to get a consistant straight forward answer from anyone so i figure the proof is in the pudding with your beast :)

do the tyres rub or did you need to do some landscaping when fitting them?

going from a 28p offset to a negative 5 offset does it vibrate?

how are the BFG M/Ts on the black stuff? is it noisy or rough at all? I want the M/Ts but given the most of my work is on the road they are only going to be there for asthetics hence why i thought it woul be sensible to run the A/T's

Any advice would be great mate. I'd really appreciate it!!

hey dave,

Thanks mate! now as for the tyres i didnt do much driving without the lift, the ute was stock expect for the tray and i took the front mudguards off and it did scrub only just though! i didnt take it offroad because it would have... when i put the lift in i set the front at about 3 inch and had to do a bit of trimming.. easy enough to do! are you planning on bullbar, winch dual batteries etc?? anyway i would recommend a lift and im happy with the size, it rides and handles fantastic no vibrations, as for the M/Ts i highly recommend them! these are my fourth set of muddies going from BFG M/T KM1 to goodyear wrangler and duratrac then the BFG M/T KM2 theres are far superior to the others. All others were noisy and these hardly make a noise and are wearing evenly was going to go the A/Ts and glad i didnt! Enjoy the new lux!

Hey mate

When installing the compressor did you mount the gold backing plate behind the body panel? Meaning taking the flare and guard off?

Thanks

I used the backing plate, alot of work but worth it.
I reckon Tek screws would be good enough.

Hi there Hamo,

This might be a silly question but when you did the ARB bar install was it just a simple bolt on for the tigerz11 winch to the inside cradle of the bar? From memory I think there 4X locating nuts and bolts? Also have you used the tigerz11 in anger yet and if its not too personal a question how many dollars did she set you back?

Thanks heaps.
