P1271 - Fuel regulator circuit malfunction (open/short/fail)

I have a 2010 SR D4D Auto which throws this code and drops into limp mode. Code is reset and off we go again until we lift off the throttle! If the throttle is lightly feathered then all is good but if you release throttle to coast or slow down, code reappears and limp mode begins.
Anyone got any experience with this fault??
Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.
