Just wondering if you guys could tell me what the measurement is from the bottom of your rim to the bottom of the guard. Also state whether you have 15in or 16in rims....thanks for your help

Premier,

I have the 2 inch OME suspension. I have 15 inch rims and from the bottom of the rim to the guard it is:

Front: 750mm

Hope this helps you.

I have 2" OME medium rear spring lift. Car 2 months old with bullbar, winch and dual battery and steel Razerback canopy SR5. Medium rear springs have hit the bump stops I have a longranger but still haven't drawers and have not fully loaded it up, may run with 400kgs extra spring when I get the drawer system.

15" rim measurements.

New:
Front/Rear
765/825

6000k
750/810

OME Suspension all round. Note: OME is not a 2inch lift. Max at front 40mm.
16 inch rims.

Front 770mm RHS and 763mm LHS. 884 replaced a month ago.
Got a tray on the rear so figures won't mean much!

Premier.
I have the OME lift. With 15 inch rims the measurement were.
On the front.
New. Rhs 760 Lhs. 755
After 25000ks. Rhs725 Lhs. 720
Then 10mm worth of packers put in under warranty.
Rhs. 755. Lhs. 750
Then 5000ks later.
Rhs.735 Lhs. 730.
The OME wire is 17mm and the only difference between the 883 and the 884 is 5mm spring length. There is an 885 spring as well for the Heavy Prado spring but this is still 17mm wire ( it will fit into our strut) just 5mm longer than the 884.
I am ditching the OME springs to put in a set of Kings KTFR- 101HHD. Into the OME strut. They are 18 mm wire and 390mm in free length hopefully they will cope with the weight of the bullbar, winch, dual batts and some gear and keep the 50mm lift without sagging.
Cheers

thanks for your help guys.....seems mine is around the mark

front 730

rear 800

I'm happy with the rear, but I feel the front could be higher so I too am looking at doing the king springs.....after ringing a mate of mine that runs one of the ARB stores he imformed me that the free length of the OME front springs are 390 and made from 17mm wire. So with the king springs being the same free length but made from 18mm wire one would think they would cope with the extra weight better.......time will tell!

The standard Toyota Hilux OME springs that come in the front I believe are also 17MM wire.

The only difference in the after market ARB OME springs is the length of the spring. They will sag just the same as the OME in time, only not as low due to being longer.

Mine is now around 735 in the front and 805 in the rear with the medium springs.
Standard 15 " rims.

Its a lot of money to pay for a few mm. About $50 a mm!!!

Cheers,

Rich.

i am in discussion with ARB at the moment regarding my front end sag.
Got the 883's and originaly it was 735mm
Now after 10onths its down to 720mm.

They said they need to take the spring out & measure it & see if the free height has dropped.
If it has then it is a warranty issue.
If not then i can put some 5mm packers in to raise it abit at my cost.

Guys, how much has your sagged.
What you using 883 or 884.

Last night i had a look underneath & noticed that the front bump stops actually touch.
There is a clear mark on the plate where the bump stops have been touching.
To me this dosent make sense. Yes my suspension has sagged but it is still higher that the stock hilux. So how can it touch.
Anyone else noticed the front bump stop touching

My springs are the 884's and have never hit the bump stops.......720 is quite a drop, I thought mine was bad at 735. Sounds to me that you have soft springs given the fact they hit the stops!

But remember that originaly I had only 735, so it has dropped 15mm to 720.
Its not that i have felt it hit the bump stop, its that you can see clear marks where it touches

Mines 805 at the front and 865 at the rear and has been that way since the Ironman comfort springs and Billies were installed. Thats with 16" rims. I think ARB are having a lend of you if they say you need spacers to regain lift, what that means is the springs are crap and to have to put spacers in to compensate is total bull.

Just as a reference point.
Does anyone have the STOCK eyebrow height. With the Toyota strut and without any accessories on the vehicle with 15 inch alloys. I dont have this measurement as I only have the measurement with all the accesories fitted at 685 and 695.
I suspect it would be about 20mm higher.
Can anyone help.
Thanks

ARB offered to replace the springs(arb springs again) but after measuring a few hilux's they had in the carpark.....which were all around my height I decided to have SA Suspension do the job for me $290 fitted. And yes it is sitting around 745mm
