for the guys with 2in lift kits

Hey guys, my stock springs sagged 2 inches from standard. Just put in 101hd kings with bilstein struts. Brought it up 4 inches to a true 2" lift. Still have stock springs in the rear and it sits near dead level with nothing in the back. Probably going to reset the factory springs and put bilstein a in the rear. Highly reccomend the kings/bilstein combo. Not a harsh ride, handles big potholes and corrugations effortlessly. And behaves very well on the road. Did a lot of research and kings/bilstein combo feedback was nearly never negative. Fwiw, I reckon it's a damn good set up and available as a complete assembly so you can put em in your self. Happy camper here..........

So the 884 prado springs I had installed have sagged from 780 to 760. Arb is replacing them, has anyone actually installed the king hdd? Will I get the nose up to 780+?

Also option is there for the 887 with the 400mm free height............

Really keen to hear from anyone with the king hdd in ome strut combo

This is getting messy for me!

in my neighborhood, there is only the Old Man Emu to get hold of an affordable cost.
Was tendered N167S shocks and 2883 spring and a spacer OME 95PF5 (5mm).
But when I read here, everyone says that OEM softens and becomes low riders ...
Spacer is one way to go, but its so wrong in my mind...

Need to get som better clearenc in the front, and also to get a little bigger tyres...

Is OEM crap or bang for the buck?

From what I have read its crap but you will always find blokes that love it same with every suspention setup.
Where are you located that you can't get anything else.

Aland islands, (European Hawaii).

Its possible to import stuff, but with shiping and the customs fee (+24%) suddenly things is expensive agian...
And you all know how nice it is to go to a shop with things when they are wrong or bruken the first week...

If it's all you can get hold of mate yes but if and when I change my suspention I will be going monster rides
Recon or dms. I would find out exactly how much it will cost to get something better delivered to you and then decide it might be worth spending a little more for a better product.

okay hi people im newish here i feel i have read up on too much info and now i am confused as to whats the go with suspension.... i have been quoted the following:

supply & fit an OLD MAN EMU SUSPENION KIT (40MM FRONT & 50MM REAR) $2100.00INC GST & FITTING. This suspension has self adjusting technology inside it. I can add a 25mm diff drop kit & 10mm strut spacer and the front will then be 60-65mm lifted and the rear i can swap the shackles fom std to extended to lift the rear another inch aswell making it very close to a 3inch lift for $2695.00INC GST & FITTING....

im not sure what exactly this kit includes? and ive read that extended shackles are pointless without getting something else extended? as they will fail? also strut spacers ive read are dodgy and diff drops require brake line lengthening and other stuff?

i have a 2013 dual cab t/d which has a deluxe winch fitted bar, canopy, roof racks later on, towing the odd trailer every now and then, tools in the tray, 265/70/r17s all terrain tyres.

if anyone has some kind of an idea with what im dealing with here, would be greatly appreciated! cheers

Strut spacer? No, do it properly. I paid less than $2700 from ultimate suspension for a 2" monotube coilovers and shocks with super lift align upper control arms and 2" 300kg constant load leafs which ride real nice!

Hey Hamlux.
Mixing and matching never really ends up well. I've never heard of suspension with self adjusting technology inside it either yet.
I would go and see somebody else.
