SR and SR5 wiring?

Hi fellas,

I have a new 2012 toyota hilux sr and im curious whether the wiring looms behind the dash are the same as the sr5. For example id like to buy a few sr5 parts eg instrument cluster, dash light dimmer, trip computer(fuel and KM reading) and install them into my sr but im not sure weather it will be just a simple plug and play and whether the plugs are just hiding behind the dash.

Most plugs are there on the harness. The dash dimmer plug is there( at least for the 06 model), the trip computer does apparently plug in but no ones had success in getting it to work. For the money you'd spend getting things like the instrument cluster you'd be better off buying an sr5 haha

Just grab yourself a language instead of the SR5 hud

I know the 4 speaker stereo wiring is there in an 09 SR. Pulled the door cards off, added in 4 new fusion speakers and it's better than the SR5
