Gen 8 Traction TRC & Vehicle Stability VSC

Hey,

Mine is a 9/16 SR DC Diesel. Those tricky little ninja's at Toyota, when stationary & when you hold down the TRC button for 3+ sec, as we know the TRC & VSC both turn off. The PITA is the Cruise Control is also disabled. Also once you stop the engine & restart, the TRC/VSC is re-enabled.

Does anyone know if it is possible to turn this junk off permanently for a GEN 8, with out effecting other functions?

I'll give that a whirl, and see what it does. If is work, I'll probably just throw a switch inline. I'd made the assumption that with the CC being affected, the fuse was probably tied in with something else.

i dont think pulling the fuse will work ,all those functions are controlled by the same engine / gearbox ECU

you might be able to disconnect the yaw sensor or put a switch on it. On other toyotas that I've owned, disconnecting the yaw sensor was the only way to completely disengage trc and vsc, but might mess with your ABS as well.
