Clunk / click in rear diff

Anyone experience a click/clunk noise in rear when downshifting through gears and intermittently on acceleration. Appears to be from the rear diff, clunk/click can also be replicated at times when shifting in to reverse or drive

there's plenty of this issue reported on here, its the Tailshaft yoke not sliding on the gearbox shaft freely. Toyota have a replacement tailshaft program which doesn't really fix it permanently..............

yeah its definitely not the same clunk / thud feeling when coming to a stop or on initial take off. its like a metallic clunk/click, which seems like backlash in the diff

Yeah I have the same problem, I think its backlash in the drive train, if I bring the revs up really slightly as the clutch starts to grab the friction point it doesn't clunk I've noticed

Are you guys using the iMT? I run it all the time with no issues at all.
