Showing speed in multi-function display.

Hi guys, have tried my dealer, Toyota Australia, searched the manual and now days browsing through the forum looking for an answer to a simple question.

Can you get current speed to show up in the multi-function display between taco & speedo in SR5? You can do this in most cars, including every current model Toyota I've driven, but I can't seem to find out how in SR5.

The speedo is not great to read and with the way cops are these days, need to keep as close an eye on speed as possible.

Fingers crossed I'm just missing something simple.

Thanks in advance.

I don't think so :(
I've tried playing around with my work SR5 Prerunner and had no luck

I use my scan gauge 2 to show my current speed. It's mounted on my steering column.

It is disappointing that Toyota left this out. The speedo is hard to read as not much distance between 100 - 110. Can a software update be done to change? - Fix the bloody stupid auto headlights while they are at it. :D

Read the 6th post in this thread. http://www.newhilux.net/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=26752 then set the sensitivity to -40 (1 flash) to solve the problem of the lights coming on under bridges and the like - works a charm.

I use a smaller 4 inch GPS in the bottom corner of the windscreen/ dash and just use the speedo function.

That would be amazing, but don't really want to spend that much on a company car.

Same issue company car, that is why I use the GPS I already had.
