Manual DPF Regen with Scanguage3

Hi All,
So i Have read a bunch of threads and have a few questions y'all may be able to answer?
So I have a 2018 SR5 Ex Cab, 2.8L (1GD-FTV) auto, unfortunately this model didn't come with a manual regen switch, I have read that people are doing DPF Regen burns triggered with a Scanguage, how is this done & how do I send this command to my ECU ?
I have a Scanguage 3 and have input a bunch of the handy X-gauges (Soot load, Trans temp etc.) and they work well but I am still at a loss as to how to trigger a regen from this unit ??
Is this possible ? I believe the code is 302906101 for a burn and that 07E0282 is to talk to CAN but that's where my knowledge on this ends, how and where do i put this data in my scanguage3 to get a burn started ????

The 302906101 code for the 130kw 1GD and 0802 for the 150kw 1GD should work on the SG2 using the Custom Commands feature but this is not currently available on the SG3 so not certain what other option you would have using this.
From my understanding using an X-Gauge most likely would not work as it would be repeatedly sending the TXD code when you select the parameter on the screen rather than a single Command/Request to start the process.

Some alternative options from lowest to highest cost:
1. Get the dealer to install the switch. If they will still honor the re-work program it's free, but it's only reactive in that it will only be useful once the full warning light/message comes up to enable it and you can't meet the driving requirements.
2. Configure the Torque Pro app on your phone as a backup but you will need a compatible dongle like an OBDLink LX to swap in that could set you back up to $150.
3. An SG2 as a backup, used if you are lucky or new one if you are really keen.
4. One of the comprehensive OBD2 diagnostic tool's that can also initiate DPF regen. The most expensive option but potentially useful for other things. I have one that will even regen my Subaru.
Having said all that, I've never needed to initiate a burn. Even crawling along with a few revs up has been fine.

This is helpful information, thanks all for the reply's, has answered my questions, seems SC3 has gone backwards in that area but is still a good unit and easier to use with some very helpful X Gauges, but now merely a report of status & soft fault code removal tool, seems a SG2 or scan tool is the way forward as I want the ability to be able to do this when I need to (without needing someone's help)
any recommendation's on what diagnostic tools (brands) are people using ???

Mines a Foxwell NT644 Elite but can't confirm the regen actually works on the Hilux, only tested that on the Subaru as I have the other options to do it on the Hilux.
The other functions seem to work ok on the Hilux though but it's very Chinese, not overly intuitive and some functions very slow.

Torque Pro app is your best bet for manually starting regens.

But first, you need to visit local dealership as there was a soft recall by toyota for your model car. They will change dpf, injector, housing and update software.
