It's very uncommon unless you are into jumping your hilux, but I'd check the strut tower and the welds around the LCA hinge mounts. The welds cracked in a couple of 120 prados and I've seen cracked strut towers on this forum.

Ummm, sounds silly I know, but just checking ... You haven't been driving around with the front end engaged have you? The 4WD components are for occasional use and should not to be used on the Tar.
