So guys my cars been in the shop last 3days so barely driven to monitor & comment though something does seem off.

I appreciate the comments of others about Regen commencing at 100% & limp mode at 180% though in 50kms it's suggesting 36% full already. I'm thinking the setups definitely reading though scale is out or something wrong with my car like it's running super rich or something.

What's others finding?

Thats about the same as what mines doing at the moment, seems to need to do a regen every 150-200km. Been worse since the last update, fuel usage is up as well.

Mine's still accumulating at the same ~300km rate since the update.

Mine's regenerating between 400 & 450 each time, prior to and post the update. The difference is that the region now takes far less time then previously, typically 10-430 km of suburban driving

Since I had the update done first burn at 300km second at 220km third at 220km fourth at 220km all around 15 minutes to do full burn stopping at 6% on the scangauge. Then the Scangauge shows 40% after about 40km then drops to 30% after another 50km then slowly gets to 100% at around 220km, only strange thing is the fuel economy has gone from 8.9L/100km to 8.5L/100km. All was highway driving at 100Km/h with no load.

Ok so not exactly monitoring km's to confirm if mines hitting 100% at 300km though I know mines definitely not. I think I did about 200km from the Regen and car did it automatically. I think since then about 350-400km's and DPF is saying 90%.
The car won't let me do a forced Regen yet so expecting after 100% it shall, idk.

I'm curious if DPF Pressure has any influence. What pressure are guys seeing systems peaking at?

It will not let you do manual burn (if using a button installed by Toyota). You can only do manual burn using this button if the DPF warning light comes on which is yet to be reported here by any of us.

Well it let me do it first time I set the button up & car definitely felt better after it. The car got to 100% lastnight then automatically did a partial burn dropping DPF to 85%. This said my car did 5,000km at Christmas and pretty sure never did a proper or full burn the whole trip. Car was feeling sluggish and fuel economy was getting worse etc hence requested a button and still waiting.

Curious, where do people think each of the 3x exhaust temp sensors are. As you can see by my pics, the sensors the sensor 3 never kicked in until a partial burn occurred, note the red arrow prior too 100% then after where it had peaked up around the 500. That said, sensor 2 had peaked higher than all at around 600, so curious what when & where each is. mounted?ImageImage

Stephen I was referring to OEM Toyota button. Again, you will not be able to start manual burn with it unless DPF gets clogged that much that warning light comes on.

Does anyone have updated PID codes for DPF levels and manual regen, as the old ones do not work anymore since Toyota upgrade in 2021.

Hi Cure,

For 150kw Hilux/Prado/Fortuner vehicles try this for the DPF level:

Scangauge II

TXF 0700221105
RXF 046205110605
RXD 3008
MTH 000200010000
Name: STL

Torque Pro
Mode/PID: 221105
Long Name: PM Accumulation Ratio Bank 1
Short Name: STL
Min Value: 0
Max Value: 250
Equation: A*2
OBD Header: 700

Haven't got the manual Regen code but you can get Custom Mode 2 added by the dealer which will allow Manual regen from 2 bars or 28% up - standard config doesn't allow Manual regen until 150%

I believe we have cracked the new manual burn command for the 150kw Hilux/Prado/Fortuner using Scangauge or Torque Pro (as per previous version use this at your own risk but we have confirmed in works on at least 2 vehicles and is a valid OBD Mode 8 code in the latest standards that Toyota seems to have enabled so could work on other models).

For Scangauge:

You need to save a custom command in one of the memory locations as per the Scangauge manual (default is 0) - enter in the command line 0802 (no extra zeros after) and save. Before sending the command make sure you have all the prerequisites to do a manual burn as per the Toyota DPF Handbook and as a suggestion with DPF% above 25%. With the engine idling select the saved Command and press SEND. The DPF bar graph will go to 4 bars, the DPF Manual Regen in progress message will appear in the centre display and the engine should increase revs. You can cancel by pressing the accelerator but as the STL % has been set to 100% it will do an auto regen soon after you start driving. So you can start a manual burn and then drive off and it will continue soon after as an auto burn.

For Torque Pro:

Set up a Custom Command Button as described in an earlier Post and Torque forums but use the command 08 02 (ensuring you have a space between the numbers). Pressing the button should initiate the process same as for scangauge above.

Long Name: Oil Pressure
Short Name: EOP

Max Value: 100
Type:psi

HI Cure,

If you are going to use the EOP PID above the equation is actually for Bar and max value should be 10.

If you want it to work as PSI change the equation to /88 in place of the /1280 everything else is OK.

I also managed to disable seat belt alarms with techstream.
Warning light still flashes, however there is no annoying buzzer.

Did you check to see what other customization were available?

On the Prado you can program all the windows to Go Up / Down with the remote using a long press of Lock / Unlock which might be useful on a Hilux as well on a hot day or if you forget to close a window and locked the car :-)
