Version is V8.30.021. I tried the install again last night. Looks like the MVCI driver was installed on the virtual machine OK. I got as far as the cable check (the one where you have to switch ignition off and on again) and then just continued past the error and all seems to work OK. Seems like it works regardless of the L Line error.
Thanks for all the help.

Hi Guys,

I have my techstream working ok, I read in the first post that the customisation does not apply to the hilux ( I have Sr5 2014 ) which is disappointing as it was the main reason I bought the cable. How does Toyota change these settings if it is not possible through Techstream? Is there another way or a different cable?

I want to turn the chime off when the drivers door is open for starters, and the seat belt chime.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

How about that, TWO boxheads. Thought I was seeing double  .

Corey then:
Yeah sucks not being able to customize settings on the Hilux with techstream, but it's not a total loss. There's plenty of other situations where it will be useful like troubleshooting, key programming and whatnot. Seatbelt chime and key in ignition beeper can be turned off or on through the trip reset button. As said before, have a search for the procedure using the keywords I mentioned.

Thanks guys,

Started searching last night for ways to turn them off, my post was more about techstream and customising. I would of thought Toyota etc would be able to do it through software.

Thanks for the tips

Cheers

I bought that one. The connection drops out a fair bit on the more important utility tests.

Two Boxheads are better then one. I am sorry R, it's just funny. LOL.
You must of had a laugh, my old mate. LOL.
You will have to break some Christmas lights, at the top there.
As long as you have Data List, All Codes, and DLC, it's still worth it, for the money.
Catch you later, John.

Love the third party thing. Note to Toyota Motor Corporation. They certainly don't understand copyright law.
It's actually a breach of copyright, which is part of a treaty. It's a copy of the Toyota software.
You got to give it to the Chinese, they are bold.
Watch the viruses on the update section. Matter of fact, delete this section, and you don't need it.

No worries Marvin.
Just a reminder for others - make sure you update the region in settings to "other" or it won't find a 1KD
Keep up the good work mate
