Snorkel leaking

Postby Earl-mi on Mon, 08 Aug 2011 5:06 +0000

Hi guys I did a search that didn't bring much back.

I have had a snorkel fitted today by my local arb. I am wanting to know the best way to test it? With a plastic bag or what? Should the engine stall?

I had bull bar, steps and rails fitted and not overly happy with the work. Parkers and indicator wires loose. No nut on the earth wire. One of the rails bolts were loose. So I wanted to check the snorkel.

Also can the steps/sliders be used as a lifting point for the high lift?

I got a bag off left over goodies with 3 earth straps in there? What are they for? Earthing the accessories? Nessacery?

Thanks
Mitch

Not sure weather I should say. But a mod can remove it if it's not acceptable.

Well, the first thing to do, is to call them and take it back to them to recitify th issues.

I'd be amazed if they didnt fix all the issues you've identified and probably then some due to their location.

Call them up. they'll be able to explain what the spare parts are for etc as well..

'supposedly' you can jack off the ARB steps, (I wouldnt though).. have a look at how they are secured to the chassis and the thickness of the steel.. they are really a 'step' rather than a slider.. use the designated jacking points..
