could the wrong tire size on my Hilux be giving wrong odo?

hi does anybody know what the stock tyre size is for a 2008 sr Hilux 4wd diesel, I had 225's on but the tire shop reckons they come stock with 255. Could that mean that my Hilux actually has recorded more ks than it has done because of the smaller tires the previous owner put on? thanks in advance for any help.

Any tyre size different to stock diameter will give you a different reading up or down use a gps and you will see how far it is out

On the standard SR they come on 205R16 tyres, if you had 225/75R16 tyres, same OD.
I think it was the SR5 that came out on the bigger tyres, 245/70R16 is same OD as 205R16, if on the 255/70R16 that was one size larger and od would have give very slighly less milage.
The SR5 may have had 265/70R15 tyres on it, wick would have lined up to the 205R16 in OD
