hey guys!

Arne from Norway here!

thought I'd post my car here on this forum since I did not get as much response from the Norwegian forums, did not feel at home there since there were only older models and I did not get response to the questions I had asked and so on.
have been on this forum since summer and looked at all of your awesome builds!

had my Hilux since May,2011 and i'm very happy with it.
there is not much that is fitted on it like you guys have here, much inspiration to get, but there are some norwegian laws that has to be fallowed to have the car legal... *Doh* "Homer Simpsons style"
but i may well mention a few things that are installed after I got the awesome car!


Equipment that is on the car:

Smoked rear windows
Rollbar from ArcticTruck Norway
Bullbar from ArcticTruck Norway
LED in Foglight, Parkinglights, interior lights and rear sign lights
LED breaking lights in Rollbar
Truxedo Roll-Up Cover
Leather cover for the front seats
Winter Tires, Nokian Hakkapalita LT 31x10,5 R15
4 x Hella Jumbo 320 on rollbar
New Speaker System

not ships, but ship-parts, i work at Rolls Royce Marine
at the latenight pic i had just washed my car with a industrial hotwater pressure washer we got at work so had to take a cool pic with the propellers
those propellers are the ones you find on supply ships and some big cruisers

i can mention that we do make bigger propellers than the ones on the picture

quick questions guys...

i was thinking about ordering a outback roof console,
and putting in a Carling Gang Mount( http://www.mudstuff.co.uk/shop/93-6-switch-gang-mount.html )
with Carling switches ( http://www.mudstuff.co.uk/shop/77-on-off-switch.html )
where the radio is installed... see pic



has anyone done something similare to this?

im not sure if im gonna order yet cuz im thinking about selling the X-cab and buying a D-cab, since i got more ideas for a Dcab rather then the Xcabs

naah, it wont be used that much im afraid, so therfore i would rather set in swtiches.

So you split from H4K.NO, and this is were you have been hiding lately?
I guess this forum is more suitable for us with newer cars. No respons on H4k. My car project has been dormant since last summer.. You have probably seen me on the hightway, all equipment removed. Did it for the MOT. BUT, i am starting up again. Have posted the hard top up for sale, going to get a roll bar, mount the 2m roof rack on top of the roof and bar, and finally mount my roof lights.

yeah, h4k wasnt well suited for us with newer cars... but this forum has loads of stuff for the mk6!
i find much inspiration from other builders here and i find it fascinating what they can do with the car.
its to bad that MOT in norway has strict laws when coming to mod our vehicles that are as new as ours...

to be honest, i havent seen your car around latley... i only reconize your car since you have 2x2k lights in front
where on earth have you been? havent had any luck with the hardtop yet?
it has been on a standstill with me as well, was going to mount the 3 new lights on the bullbar, but need to make a 40cm metal plate to have the lights on correctly but i dont have the equipment for that

Yeah, this site is definitely a greater source of inspiration for us with newer cars than H4K is right now, and probably will be for quite some time it seems.
