I'm glad I took the cover off to have a bit of a look.
I cleaned the MAF sensor today and also the filter with the CRC product. Never had a problem with the O ring but I did find another problem.
Can anyone spot it.

It ALWAYS pays to double check work... Spend a few minutes going over to make sure that stuff is done right.

Do have a step by step, pretty green around a motor but doesn't seem that hard and I'm betting mine has never been done.
If I have anything Good to Say it will be Above.

Goodman! - Toyota charged me $400 for a new O ring [plus MAF] as the 20 cent oring was cracked
My view of go ahead with anything in reason to rectify the P2008 code, ring me if unsure.
Would have though that doesn't inlcude $400 o-rings and a hour to replace it but thats what you get when you go with Toyota Service an 'genuine' denso parts

STEP AWAY from the compressor!!! all you need to MAF cleaning spray. about $25 from most auto stores.

I did mine last week, made a difference to power (more) and fuel use (less)

Compressed air is dirty and has moisture depending how often it has been emptied.

Possibly a silly question - but should the battery be disconnected prior to disconnecting the sensor?
Going to check mine over the weekend.
Cheers,
Jay
