2014 Aux switch panel removal

2014 Aux switch panel removal

Postby hotbarrels on Sun, 22 Mar 2015 1:25 +0000

I've searched the forum and can see responses for the earlier models, but nothing for the current [2014] model that has the 6x aux switches, 2x cig outlets and the USB port plugged into the radio and which sits just above the center console for the gear stick.

For the life of me I cannot get this panel to come free, and I cannot see any screws anywhere. How is this panel held in place, and whats the safest way to remove it. I'm sh*t scare of breaking something.

Cheers

not sure about the 14's but ive got a 12 and its all just clipped in, pull the handbrake flap bit out ( just clips)
stick your hand in that hole near the top and pull up while pulling from infront of the centre console. the whole front section will come off ( you ll need to remove the gear knobs). then just grab either side of the switch bit and give it a tug, should come straight off. the clips might be a bit tight if it hasnt come off before, mine took a fair bit of persuasion to let go

Reach up behind it and push on the clips. No screws. Just pops out

I accessed from passenger side with my left hand in behind the panel you can feel some little clips on top Of the panel, push them down with your finger at the same time hook finger in a switch hole and gently pull out from the top and sides,I had glove box out and trying to shove my fat head in there to look as well to see the clips
